This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Medusa was a survey vessel.

Originally a Motor Launch, built by Newman & Son of Poole, launched 20-Nov-1943 and 72ft long.

Renamed HMS Medusa 01-Jan-1961.

Paid off Nov-1965 and sold 29-May-1968.
