This the first HMS Marlborough was a rebuild of HMS St Michael in 1706. The HMS Marlborough which emerged from the rebuild was a second rate, three deck, 90-gun ship-of-the-line, of 1,579 tons builders measurement. She was rebuilt 1706 at Blackwell and renamed HMS Marlborough 18-Dec-1706. She was reduced to 68 guns in 1752. Foundered 29-Nov-1762 in the Atlantic. Won the Battle Honours: Martinique 1762 and Havana 1762.
