This the second ship to carry the name HMS Leven was an
Algerine class, 3-gun,
wooden screw gunboat. Built by Pitcher of Northfleet, laid down 01-Oct-1856, launched 07-Mar-1857, and completed 24-Apr-1857. Sold 21-Jul-1873 at Shanghai. Won the Battle Honour: China 1856-60.
