Wooden Paddle Frigate 18-gun

    
This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Leopard was an 18-gun, wooden paddle frigate.

Built at Deptford Dockyard. launched 05-Nov-1850, 218ft long, 37ft 6in wide and of 1,406 tons builders measurement. Armed with 5 x 110pdr, 1 x 68pdr, 4 x 40pdr and 8 x 32pdr guns.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1853.

Sold 08-Apr-1867.

Won the Battle Honours: Baltic 1854 and Crimea 1855.
