HMS Isis (1898) CC  (4th)

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Isis was a 2nd Class, Protected Cruiser.

Built by the London & Glasgow Co of Govan, laid down 30-Jan-1895,  launched 27-Jun-1896, and completed 10-May-1898.

On completion went to the Mediterranean 1898-1901, with a detachment to the China Station 1900 where she won that Battle Honour. Returned to the UK at Chatham 1901-02. Used as tender to HMS Britannia as Cadets training Ship 1902-07. To the America & West Indies Station 1905-07.

Returned to the UK and went into reserve at Devonport 1907-09. Joined the Home Fleet Battle Squadron 1090-10, the 3rd Fleet 1911-14 and the West Coast of Ireland Coast patrol 1914-15.

To the America & West Indies Station 1915-18. Returned to the UK at Invergordon 1919

Sold 26-Feb-1920 and broken up at Granton.

Won the Battle Honour : China 1900.
