Wooden Screw Gunboat 4-gun

    
This the first ship to carry the name HMS Highlander was an Albacore class, 4-gun, wooden screw gunboat.

Built by Hill of Bristol, laid down 22-Oct-1855, launched 29-Apr-1856.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Renamed YC 51 1868 and used as a dredger.

Sold May-1884.
