HMS Hibernia (1907) BB  (3rd)

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Hibernia was laid down in Jan-1904 and completed in 1907.

She served with the Atlantic, Home and Channel Fleets from 1907-13. 

In early 1912 a short flight deck was built on her forward turret, and on 4-May-1912 Commander Samson made the first seaplane flight from a British warship while underway.

Joined the 3rd Battle Squadron in 1914, and the Dardanelles force November 1915. Remained in the Mediterranean for the rest of WW1.

Became an accommodation ship 1919, and sold 1921.

Won the Battle Honour: Dardanelles: Dardanelles 1915-16.
