This the second ship to carry the name HMS Hero was a third rate, 74-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built by Perry of Blackwall, launched 18-Aug-1803, 176ft long, 48ft wide and of 1,703 tons builders measurement.

Wrecked off Texel 05-Dec-1811.

Won the battle Honours: Bay of Biscay 1805 and Basque Roads 1809.
