This the ninth ship to carry the name HMS Greyhound was a sixth rate, 24-gun, ship.

Built by Snelgrove of Limehouse, launched 19-Sep-1741, 108ft long, 31ft wide and of 450 tons builders measurement.

Sold 05-Apr-1768.

Won the Battle Honour: Martinique 1762.
