This the first ship to carry the name HMS Greyhound was a 45-gun, galleasse.

Built at Deptford, launched 1545, and of 160 tons builders measurement.

Listed as a ship from 1549.

Rebuilt 1558 and listed as a galleon.

Wrecked 1563 off Rye.
