This the  ship to carry the name HMS Goliath was a third rate, 74-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 19-Oct-1781, 168ft long, 47ft wide and of 1,604 tons builders measurement.

Re-rated a fourth rate, 58-gun, ship, 1812.

Broken up Jun-1815.

Won the Battle Honours: St. Vincent 1797 and Nile 1798.
