This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Garland was a 32-gun, fireship.

Originally a 32-gun, fifth rate, ship, HMS Scarborough, built by Parker of Southampton, launched 1696, 108ft long, 28ft 6in wide and of 391 tons builders measurement.

Captured 21-Oct-1710 by the French on the coast of Guinea.

Recaptured 31-Mar-1712 and renamed HMS Garland.

Sold 27-Sep-1744.

Won the Battle Honour: Passero 1718.
