Wooden Screw Gunboat 4-gun

This the second ship to carry the name HMS Forward was an Albacore class, 4 gun, wooden screw gunboat.

Built by Pitcher of Northfleet, laid down 13-Sep-1855, launched 08-Dec-1855 and completed 09-Feb-1856.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Fitted for service in British Columbia 1859.

Sod 28-Sep-1869 at Esquimalt.
