This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Foresight was an F
Class, destroyer. Built by Cammell Laird, laid down 21-Jul-1933, launched 29-Jun-1934, and commissioned 15-May-1935. Took part in the King George V Silver Jubilee Fleet Review 16-Jul-1935. Early in WW2 took part in Norwegian Operations, then from Jun-1940 operated with Force H. 1942 saw Arctic convoy escort duty. When escorting convoy QP11, she received damage from attacking German destroyers. Aug-1942 it was to the Mediterranean for Operation Pedestal . On 12-Aug-1942 was torpedoed by Italian aircraft, north of Bizerta, then taken in tow by HMS Tartar, but she sank the next day. Won the Battle Honours: Atlantic 1941, Mediterranean 1941, Malta Convoys 1941-42 and Arctic 1942.
