This the third ship to carry the name HMS Endymion was a wooden screw frigate.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 18-Nov-1865, 240ft long, 48ft wide and of 2,486 toms builders measurement.

Sold 1885 as a hulk and broken up 1905.
