This the second ship to carry the name HMS Endymion was a fourth rate, 50-gun,ship.

Built by Randal of Rotherhithe, launched 29-Mar-1797, 159ft 6in long, 43ft wide and of 1,277 tons builders measurement.

Used for harbour service from 1860.

Breaking up completed 18-Aug 1868 at Devonport.

Won the Battle Honour: 'President' 1815 and China 1842.
