HMS Encounter (1805) (2nd)

This the second ship to carry the name HMS Encounter was a
12-gun, gun-brig. Built by Guillaume of Northam, launched 16-May-1805, 84ft 6in long, 22ft 6in wide and of 185 tons builders measurement. Armed with 10 x 18pdr carronades, and 2 x 12pdr guns. Wrecked 11-Jul-1812 off San Lucar. Won the Battle Honours: Cape of Good Hope 1806 and Basque Roads 1809.
