This the second ship to carry the name HMS Edgar was a 4th rate, 60-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built by Randall of Rotherhithe, launched 16-Nov-1758, 155ft long, 44ft wide and of 1,297 tons builders measurement.

Sunk Aug-1774 as a breakwater at Sheerness.

Won the Battle Honours: Lagos 1759, Lagos 1762 and Havana 1762.
