HMS Eagle (1660)  (3rd)
Ship 22-gun 

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Eagle was originally HMS Selby, which was renamed 1660.

Built by Taylor of Wapping, launched 1654, of 305 tons builders measurement, and armed with 22-guns.

Converted to a fireship 1674.

Sunk 1694 as a foundation at Sheerness.

Won the Battle Honours:  Lowestoft 1665 and Orfordness 1666.
