HMS Diadem (1782) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Diadem was a third
rate, 74-gun, ship-of-the-line. Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 19-Dec-1782, 160ft long, 44ft 6in wide and of 1,376 tons builders measurement. Used as a troopship from May-1798. Broken up at Plymouth Sep-1832. Won the Battle Honours: Genoa 1795, St. Vincent 1797, Egypt 1801 and Cape of Good Hope 1806.
