HMS Daring (1804) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Daring was a 12-gun,
Gun-brig. Built by Bailey of Ipswich, launched Oct-1804, 80ft long, 23ft wide, of 178 tons builders measurement, and armed with 12 x 18pdr carronades. Destroyed 07-Feb-1813 at Sierra Leone, to avoid capture by the French.
