HMS Cumberland (1695)  (1st)
3rd Rate 80-gun

    
This the first HMS Cumberland was a third rate, 80-gun ship-of-the-line.

Built by Wyatt of Bursledon - just outside Southampton. Launched 12-Nov-1695, 156ft long, 42ft wide and of 1,219 tons builders measurement. 

She was captured by the French 10-Oct-1707 and later sold to the Spanish Navy who renamed her Principe de Asturias.

Final fate is unknown.
