Steel Screw Corvette 14-gun

    
This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Cleopatra was a 14-gun, steel screw corvette. Later designated a third class cruiser.

Built by Elder of Govan, laid down 17-Aug-1876, launched 01-Aug-1878 and completed 24-Aug-1880.

Used for harbour service from 1905.

Renamed Defiance III Jan-1922.

Sold Jul-1931.
