This the third ship to carry the name HMS Cambrian was a
Second Class, Protected Cruiser. Built at Pembroke Dock, laid down 1890, launched 30-Jan-1893, and completed 1894. On completion served in the Mediterranean 1894-97. returned to the UK and refit at Devonport 1898. Joined the Cruiser Training Squadron 1899-1900. Went to the South America Station as flagship 1901-03, then the South Atlantic Station 1903-04. Refitted at Haulbowline 1905. Final active duty was at the Australia Station 1906-13 and paid off 1914. Used as Stokers Training Ship at Devonport and renamed HMS Harlech 02-Mar-1916 Renamed HMS Vivid Sep-1921. Sold 21-Feb-1923.
