This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Bristol was a wooden screw frigate.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, launched 12-Feb-1861, 250ft long, 52ft wide, of 3,027 tons builders measurement, and displacing 4,020 tons.

Sold Jul-1883, for breaking up.
