HMS Bristol (1910) CC  (6th)

    
This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Bristol was a Light Cruiser.

Built by John Brown shipyard on the Clyde, laid down 23-Mar-1909, launched 23-Feb-1910, and completed Dec-1910.

On completion joined the Home Fleet 1910-14.

To the America & West Indies Station 1914-15. During which she engaged the German ship Karlsruhe 06-Aug-1914; with the Armed Merchant Cruiser Macedonia captured German colliers in the Falklands Islands battle; and took part in the hunt for the Dresden Dec-1914.

To the Mediterranean 1915-16, the Adriatic 1916-17, then South America 1918-19.

Returned to the UK and went into reserve 1919.

Listed for disposal 1920 and sold for breaking up 09-May-1921.

Won the Battle Honour: Falkland Islands 1914.
