This the second ship to carry the name HMS Brecon was the lead
ship of a class of 13 mine countermeasures vessels. Built by built by Vosper-Thorneycroft, launched 21-Jun-1978 and commissioned 18-Dec-1979. Decommissioned 19-Jul-2005, and then used as a static training ship at Jupiter point, HMS Raleigh.
