This the sixth ship to carry the name HMS Brave was an Albacore class, 4-gun, wooden screw gunboat

Built by Laird Shipbuilders, laid down 17-Oct-1855, launched 11-Feb-1856 and completed Mar-1856.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Laid up after completion.

Broken up 25-Mar-1869 at Portsmouth.
