This the fifth ship to carry the name HMS Blonde was a fifth rate, 46-gun,ship.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 12-Jan-1819, 155ft long, 40ft 6in wide and of 1,103 tons builders measurement. Armed with 16 x 32pdr carronades, 28 x 18pdr and 2 x 9pdr guns.

Used for harbour service from Nov-1850.

Renamed HMS Calypso 09-Mar-1870.

Sold 28-Feb-1895.

Won the Battle Honour: China 1841-42.
