HMS Basilisk (1889) (8th)

This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Basilisk was an
8-gun, copper sheathed steel hulled sloop. Built at Sheerness Dockyard, launched 06-Apr-1889, 195ft long, 28ft wide and displacing 1,170 tons. Armed with 8 x 5in guns. Later used as a coal hulk and renamed C.7. Sold 1905 and renamed Maggie Grech.
