This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Basilisk was a wooden paddle sloop.

Built at Woolwich Dockyard, 185ft long, 34ft wide and of 1,031 tons builders measurement.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Broken up at Chatham 1882.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854-55.
