HMS Argonaut (1900) CC  (2nd)

    
This the second ship to carry the name HMS Argonaut was a first class cruiser.

Built by Fairfield of Govan, laid down 23-Nov-1896, launched 24-Jan-1898, and completed 19-Apr-1900.

On completion went to the China Station 1900-04, then returned to the UK and reserve 1904-09. Served with the 4th Division at Portsmouth 1909-11, then the 3rd Fleet 1912-14. Final active duty was tithe the 9th Cruiser Squadron Mid-Atlantic 1914-15.

Became a Hospital Ship at Portsmouth 1915-17, and accommodation ship for stokers 1918.

Sold 18-May-1920 and arrived at Milford Haven 04-Sep-1921 for breaking up.
