This the fourth ship to carry the name HMS Ambuscade was a fifth rate, 38-gun, ship.

Originally French, Pomone, captured 29-Nov-1811 by HMS Active and Alceste, 152ft 6in long, 42ft wide and of 1,085 tons builders measurement.

Broken up at Woolwich Nov-1812.
