HMS Africa (1906) BB  (7th)

    
This the seventh vessel to carry the name HMS Africa was one of eight King Edward VII Class battleships.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, laid down Jan-1904, launched 20-May-1905 and completed Nov-1906.

She served from 1906-13 with the Atlantic, Channel and Home Fleets. In 1912 was fitted with a temporary flight deck over the forward turret for seaplane trials. Joined the 3rd Battle Squadron 1914. Joined the 9th Cruiser Squadron in April 1917 until the end of WW1.

Used as an accommodation ship until sold 30-Jun-1920.
