HMS Active (1977) FG  (11th)

     
This the eleventh ship to carry the name HMS Active was a Type 21, Amazon Class, guided missile frigate.

Built by Vosper-Thorneycroft, launched 23-Nov-1972, and commissioned 1977.

Armed with 1 x 4.5in gun, Exocet and Seacat missile systems, 6 x torpedo tubes and a helicopter.

Sold to the Pakistan Navy 23-Sep-1994 as PNS Shahjahan.

Won the Battle Honour: Falkland Islands 1982.
