This the second ship to carry the name HMS Woodcock was a
Clown class, 2 gun, wooden screw gunboat. Built by Smith of North Shields, laid down 25-Feb-1856, launched 06-Jun-1856 and completed 11-Apr-1857. Sold 1871 at Hong Kong. Won the Battle Honour: China 1856-60.
