HMS Wakeful (1917) DD  (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Wakeful was a W Class, destroyer.

Built by John Brown on the Clyde, launched 06-Oct-1917.

Took part in the King George V Silver Jubilee Fleet Review 16-Jul-1935.

Sunk 29-May-1940 by German torpedo boat off Dunkirk.

Won the Battle Honours: Atlantic 1939-40, and Dunkirk 1940.
