This the eighth ship to carry the name HMS Violet was a Flower Class corvette.

Built by Simons, launched 30-Dec-1940.

Sold 17-May-1947 as the merchant vessel La Aguera 1947, renamed La Guera 1949, and later renamed again as Claudia Sabadell.

Won the Battle Honours: Atlantic 1941-44, North Africa 1942-43 and North Sea 1943-44.
