This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Violet was the
name ship of a class of two torpedo boat destroyers. Built by Doxford, laid down 13-Jul-1896, launched 03-May-1897, and completed Jun-1898. Served in home waters for her entire service. Sold 07-Jun-1920.
