This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS St. George was a first rate, 120-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Plymouth Dockyard, launched 27-Aug-1840 having spent fourteen years on the stocks, 205ft long, 55ft 6in wide and of 2,694 tons builders measurement (bm).

Conversion to a screw ship completed 19-Mar-1859, with an increased tonnage of 2,864 tons bm.

Sold 1883 and broken up.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1854.
