Wooden Screw Sloop 6-gun 

    
This the third ship to carry the name HMS Spartan was a wooden screw sloop.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, launched 14-Nov-1868, 212 ft long, 36 ft wide and of 1,269 tons builders measurement, or 1,755 tons displacement. She was armed with 2 x 7in and 4 x 64 pdr guns.

Sold 07-Nov-1882.
