HMS Southampton (1693)  (1st)

The 1st ship to bear the name Southampton was built in 1693 by Parker & Winter, at Southampton.

She was a 4th Rate, 48-gun ship, of 609 tons builders measurement, 122ft long and 34ft wide.

She was rebuilt at Deptford in 1700 with an increased tonnage of 636 tons builders measurement.

Hulked at Jamaica May-1728, and broken up 1771.
