This the third ship to carry the name HMS Sheffield was one of
the second batch of Type 22 (1979) Boxer Class Frigates. Built by Swan Hunter, launched 26-Mar-1986, commissioned 26-Jul-1988. Paid off 14-Nov-2002. Sold to the Chilean Navy Oct-2003 as Almirante Williams.
