This the tenth ship to carry the name HMS Shark was an S
Class, destroyer. Built by Scotts, laid down 05-Nov-1941, launched 01-Jun-1943, and commissioned 18-Mar-1944. Loaned to the Royal Norwegian Navy, 08-Mar-1944 and renamed Svenner. On commissioning took part in Russian convoy escort and offensive carrier sweeps off the Norwegian coast during 1943 and the first half of 1944. Then Jun-1944 operations as part of the Normandy landings. Sunk 06-Jun-1944 by German MTB's off Le Havre.
