HMS Shah (1873) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Shah was a 26-gun,
armoured frigate. Built at Portsmouth Dockyard, launched Sep-1873, 334 ft long, 52ft wide, of 4,210 tons builders measurement, and displacing 6,250 tons. Armed with 2 x 9in, 16 x 7in and 8 x 64pdr guns. Renamed C.470 (coal hulk) Dec-1904. Sold 19-Sep-1919. Wrecked at Bermuda 1926.
