This the second ship to carry the name HMS Sandwich was a second rate, 98-gun, ship-of-the-line.

Built at Chatham Dockyard, launched 14-Apr-1759, 176ft long, 49ft wide and of 1,869 tons builders measurement.

Used as a floating battery from 1780, then for harbour service from Oct-1790.

Broken up at Chatham 1810.

Won the Battle Honour: Belle Isle 1761 and St. Vincent 1780.
