This the seventh ship to carry the name HMS Ruby was a Pelter Class, 4-gun, wooden screw gunboat.

Built at Deptford Dockyard, laid down 29-Jun-1854, launched 07-Oct-1854 and completed 08-Mar-1855.

Took part in the Royal Fleet Review 1856.

Broken up Oct-1868.

Won the Battle Honour: Baltic 1855.
