This the first ship to carry the name HMS Rothesay was a
turbine powered, Bangor class, minesweeper. Built by Hamilton, launched 18-Mar-1941. Broken up by Ward of Milford haven, Apr-1950. Won the Battle Honours: English Channel 1942, North Africa 1942-43, Sicily 1943, Salerno 1943, Anzio 1944 and South France 1944.
