HMS Richard (1658) (1st)

This the first ship to carry the name HMS Richard was a third rate, 70-gun,
ship-of-the-line. Built at Woolwich, launched 1658, and of 1,108 tons builders measurement. Renamed HMS Royal James 1660. Destroyed 13-Jun-1667 by the Dutch at Chatham. Won the Battle Honour: Four Days' Battle 1666.
