HMS Revenge (1894) BB  (11th)

    
This the eleventh ship to carry the name HMS Revenge, was one of seven  Royal Sovereign Class (1892) battleships.

Built by Palmer, laid down Feb-1891, launched 03-Nov-1892 and completed March 1894.

First served at home until 1896, then in the Mediterranean until 1900.
After a short period as a guardship or in Reserve, she was refitted 1902-1905.

Then she served as a gunnery ship until 1912.

In Reserve 1913-1914, following which she returned to active service and was used for bombardments of the Belgian coast and for gunnery trials.

She was renamed Redoubtable 02-Aug-1915 and withdrawn from service 1917.

Sold in 06-Nov-1919 and broken up at Swansea and Briton Ferry.
